ASSENT’s HSE Walkdown is focused on the real experience of working every day. It’s designed to grow our safety culture and catch everyday unsafe practices that can compound over time to create serious risks for a whole group of our employees. Walkdowns are led by both management and workers to have a full 360° assessment and information on employee’s safety practices in our factory and sites.

Our walkdown starts with a briefing where the team performing the walk-around is made familiar with the workplace elements - the people, the process, the equipment, and the environment including its unique hazards, and its normal state of operation. During the walk, the team engage with the workforce, check their respective workstations, and identify best practices, unsafe practices and providing them with safe alternatives and a means to understand why their practices are unsafe. After the walk, the information gathered is analyzed and the team make plans to correct issues and communicate them to the wider group.
