ASSENT STEEL conducts Safety Stand Down meetings and takes time out of the work day of our workforce to address pressing safety issues.
Operations are completely shut down, usually in less than 30 minutes, to discuss and emphasize safe conditions in the workplace and the safety behaviors expected of each other.
During our stand-down meetings, it allows our employees an opportunity to ask questions about company safety rules and job hazards they see daily and what can be done to prevent any injury.
